The Assessment and Funding Workgroup
The Workgroup on the Assessment and Funding of school facilities was established in 2018 as part of the 21st Century School Facilities Act. The goal of the workgroup is to make recommendations for the prioritization and funding of school facilities based on the results of the Statewide school facilities assessment (assessments of all public K-12 facilities were completed in July 2021). The workgroup is also tasked with making recommendations for factors used in the State and local cost-share formula, gross area baselines, and maximum state construction allocations, as well as the purpose and implementation of the Local Share of School Construction Costs Revolving Loan Fund and possible incentives for LEAs that reduce the cost per student and total cost of ownership.
