Facilities and Assessment

The IAC conducts two different types of assessments.

The Maintenance Effectiveness Assessment (MEA) helps the IAC identify the extend to which each Local Education Agency is performing maintenance likely to support a safe, healthy, and educationally sufficient environment.

The Statewide Facilities Assessment (SFA) assesses the condition and educational sufficiency of school facilities that currently exist in Maryland.
