The proposed amendments would implement a Small County State Cost Share adjustment, establish State cost share amounts for each local education agency and the Maryland School for the Blind for FY 2027 and 2028, and to provide a ten-percentage-point State cost-share increase where the LEA is located in a Tier 1 county. These revisions were approved by the IAC at the July 17, 2025 and March 12, 2026 IAC meetings. They were published in the Maryland Register on May 15, 2026, initiating a public comment period that will last 30 days. Final review by the IAC will take place at the July 16, 2026 IAC meeting.
